Huntington’s one on one test prep tutoring will help your student be ready for and improve their score on the digital SAT coming in March 2024.
For nearly five decades, Huntington Learning Center has been providing students with top of the line SAT tutoring, including test-taking strategies, time-management skills, and academic skills, through individualized instruction from a highly trained SAT tutor. Unlike other SAT prep programs, Huntington provides tutoring on an individual basis with flexible hours to meet the unique scheduling needs of every student.
Higher scores on the SAT can mean the difference between going to college and getting into your dream college. Plus, with the right SAT scores, you may also be eligible for a scholarship.

Each section is divided into two subsections, called Modules.
- The first Module of each Section of the test sets the stage for the rest of the test.
- The student’s performance on the first Module in each section determines which second Module is administered in the section.
- If a student performs well on the first module of either or both sections, they will receive the more challenging second module that contains mostly medium and hard level questions.
- If a student does not perform well on the first module, the second module will be less challenging, containing mostly easy and medium level questions.
- Reading focuses on reading comprehension and vocabulary.
- Writing focuses on grammar, usage, and punctuation.
- Section time and question totals:
- 64 minutes long with a total of 54 questions.
- The first module is 32 minutes long and has 27 reading and writing questions.
- The second module is 32 minutes long and has 27 reading and writing questions.
- Format:
- Short, paragraph-length passages with one multiple choice question each.
- Includes some pairs of passages with one multiple choice question for the set.
- 64 minutes long with a total of 54 questions.
- Math focuses on Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem Solving & Data Analysis, Geometry & Trigonometry.
- Allows for calculator use on all problems.
- Section time and question totals:
- 70 minutes long with 44 questions.
- The first module is 35 minutes long and has 22 questions.
- The second module is 35 minutes long and has 22 questions.
- Format:
- A variety of equations and short word problems.
- 75% multiple choice and 25% student produced responses (open ended).
- 70 minutes long with 44 questions.
PSAT and National Merit
National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test
The PSAT, taken during junior year, is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship program. Substantial merit scholarships and national recognition are offered to qualifying students.
